CRIME OF THE WEEK: The Lynchburg Police Department is investigating after a shooting incident at the Wards Road Walmart this weekend.
On November 21, 2021, at 10:27 p.m., officers responded to 3900 Wards Road for a shots fired call. Callers reported hearing several shots and seeing a silver sedan leaving the scene. When officers arrived, they located two vehicles that had been shot and recovered several cartridge casings. The suspect vehicle is described as a silver Dodge Charger with black rims, potentially tinted windows, and a sun roof.
