October 26, 2021 – The Lynchburg Police Department is investigating a burglary that occurred at the Lighthouse Community Center last week.
On October 18, 2021, officers responded to 1310 Church Street for a report of a breaking and entering. Between 1:30 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. on October 17, 2021, security footage shows a man and a woman gained entry to the center before damaging property and leaving with an undisclosed amount of cash and property. One suspect is a white man who wore a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, dark colored tank top, and dark colored pants at the time of the incident. The hood of the sweatshirt hides his face the entire duration of the security video. The woman has blonde hair and was seen wearing a dark colored jacket, dark colored shirt, dark colored pants, and a hat. Her face is also hidden by her hat.
