LPD Actively Looking for Missing and Endangered Juvenile
LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) is actively looking for a missing and endangered juvenile.
On July 9, 2023, at 6:27 p.m., officers responded to the 1700-block of Langhorne Road for a report of a missing Juvenile. Jude Powers (15) has been missing from the Blackwater Creek Trails since 4:00 p.m.
Powers is considered endangered because his family says he is on the Autism Spectrum, a medical condition that affects his cognitive abilities. Powers is a white male last seen in the area of the Blackwater Creek Trials on Langhorne Road wearing a yellow tank top and yellow shorts. Powers left on foot and did not have a cell phone with him.
LPD Officers, the Lynchburg Fire Department, and Virginia State Police are actively searching for Powers at this time.
