Lynchburg Police Respond to Shooting Incident Involving 16-Year-Old Male
Lynchburg, VA – At approximately 2:40 PM today, the Lynchburg Police Department responded to a call regarding an individual who had been shot on Timber Court in The Timbers apartments. Upon arrival at the scene, officers found a 16-year-old male with what appeared to be a single gunshot wound to the abdomen.
After a preliminary investigation, the Lynchburg Police Department believes there is no ongoing threat to the community at this time.
The victim was conscious when officers arrived and was immediately transported to Lynchburg General Hospital. He is currently reported to be in serious condition.
