Malicious Wounding on Alabama Avenue
LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Lynchburg Police Department is investigating a malicious wounding that occurred on Alabama Avenue last night.
On July 2, 2022, at 10:32 p.m., officers responded to 4649 Alabama Avenue for a stabbing. When officers arrived, they located a 35-year old male with several stab wounds to the leg. He was transported to Lynchburg General Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
The offender, Sheldon Lydell Page, Jr., (28) of Shipman was arrested on scene and charged with the following:
- Malicious wounding
- Public intoxication
- Impersonation of a law enforcement officer
He was taken to the Lynchburg Adult Detention Center and held without bond.
