October 15, 2021 – The Lynchburg Police Department is investigating a malicious wounding that occurred on Chambers Street this morning.
On October 13, 2021, at 9:12 a.m., officers responded to the 300-block of Chambers Street for a report of a man who had been shot. When officers arrived on scene, they located one man with a serious gunshot injury. He was transported to Lynchburg General Hospital to receive treatment.
Officers took a man into custody in connection with the shooting at 9:19 a.m. at the intersection of Lovell and Chambers Streets.

- Discharge of Firearm in Public Place
- Reckless Handling of a Firearm
