Malicious Wounding on Floyd Street
LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) has charged a suspect for a malicious wounding that occurred on Floyd Street today.
On April 14, 2023, at 1:36 p.m., officers responded to the 900 block of Floyd Street for reports of an assault.
When officers arrived, they located an adult male with multiple stab wounds. He was transported to Lynchburg General Hospital for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries and is listed in stable condition.
During a preliminary investigation, officers found out from witnesses at the scene that a physical altercation took place between the offender and the victim that led to the stabbing.
Officers arrested Spencer Amos (28) of Lynchburg at the scene and charged him with malicious wounding.
There is no active threat to the public. LPD would like to thank the community for providing information to aid in the officer’s investigation of the incident.
