Malicious Wounding on Leesville Road
LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) is investigating a malicious wounding that occurred this evening.
On January 4, 2024, at 5:43 p.m., LPD officers responded to the 600-block of Leesville Road for the report of a stabbing. When officers arrived, they located an adult female with non-life-threatening stab wounds to the hand. She was transported to Lynchburg General Hospital for treatment.
During their investigation, officers found out that a physical altercation took place between the offender and the victim that led to the stabbing. Both the victim and the offender were known to each other. The incident appears to be isolated.
