Missing and Endangered Elderly Person
LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) is investigating a case involving a missing and endangered elderly person.
On September 2, 2022 at 11:00 p.m., officers responded to the 1000 block of Floyd Street for a report of a missing person. Frances Carter (79) was last seen at her residence at 8:00 p.m. and when her family went to check on her later in the evening she was discovered missing. Family members contacted the police to report Carter missing.
Carter is considered endangered due to a medical condition affecting her behavior. Carter is approximately 5’7”, 200lbs, brown eyes, grey hair, and was last seen wearing a cream-colored shirt with a dark-colored jacket.
