Serious Pedestrian Crash Under Investigation on Campbell Avenue
Lynchburg, VA – At approximately 10:09 PM on March 8, the Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) and Lynchburg Fire Department (LFD) responded to a motor vehicle crash involving two pedestrians in the 3800 block of Campbell Avenue.
Upon arrival, LPD and LFD located two adult female pedestrians, ages 66 and 44, lying in the roadway with significant injuries. Lynchburg Fire Department provided immediate medical aid and transported both individuals to Lynchburg General Hospital, where they remain in stable, but serious condition.
The driver of the vehicle, a 66-year-old male, remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. The circumstances surrounding the crash are still under active investigation.
