August 3, 2021 – The Lynchburg Police Department is asking for the community’s help after a shooting this weekend that left one woman with serious injuries.
On July 31, 2021, at 10:05 p.m., officers responded to Sandusky Park for a report of shots fired and a malicious wounding. When officers arrived on scene, they located one woman who had been shot. She was transported to Lynchburg General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspects in this shooting are several men who left the area on foot toward the main entrance of Sandusky Park.
The LPD is looking for anyone who may have video footage from the area around Sandusky Park. Anyone who may have captured video of this area on a security or doorbell camera is asked to contact the Lynchburg Police Department at (434) 455-6065 or share the footage on the Neighbors portal.
