Homicide on Cornerstone Street
LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) is investigating a homicide that occurred at 106 Cornerstone St, tonight.
On November 11, 2022, at 9:11 p.m., officers responded to 106 Cornerstone Street for reports of a shot being fired. Additional callers reported that one adult male had been shot. The suspect fled the scene on foot. Citizens, followed by other first responders on scene attempted life saving measures which were unsuccessful.
LPD Forensic and Criminal Investigation Units responded to the scene to investigate this incident.
The suspect is described as an adult white male with a reddish brown beard, wearing a dark colored hoodie with a white and yellow design on the front, a dark colored baseball style hat backwards, dark colored long shorts and dark colored tennis shoes with a white check. * see attached photo
