LPD Begins Transition to New Vehicle Color Scheme
LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) is excited to announce that the department is transitioning to a new color scheme for its patrol vehicle fleet.
Effective today, two vehicles with this new color scheme have entered service and will be visible around the city. As additional vehicles reach the end of their lifespan, they will be replaced with vehicles that have this new branding.
“This transition is part of an overall rebranding of the LPD,” Chief Zuidema said. “These vehicles will be more visible and recognizable by the general public moving forward, while also enhancing the safety of the officers operating them.”
