Three in Custody After Robbery on Moseley Drive
LYNCHBURG, Va. – Three individuals are in custody after a robbery occurred on Moseley Drive yesterday evening.
On April 2, 2024, at 6 p.m., Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) responded to the 1200 block of Moseley Drive in reference to a robbery that had just occurred. When officers arrived on the scene, a male victim advised that Amber Hamilton and Jesse Williams had robbed him of his shoes and money. It was reported that Williams had struck the victim with a pair of brass knuckles and was shot with a BB gun by Hamilton. Within 30 minutes, LPD officers were able to locate both individuals at a home in Madison Heights, and both were taken into custody without incident.
A search warrant was executed at the same home in Madison Heights where evidence of the robbery was located. In addition, officers also located approximately two pounds of marijuana, cocaine, and a shotgun.
Barry Samuel Wills, 28, of Madison Heights was charged with Possession of Schedule I/II Drug, Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule I/II Drug, and Possession of a Weapon while in Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana (Over a Pound). Willis was transported to the Blue Ridge Regional Jail Authority in Amherst and is currently being held without bond.
Amber Dawn Hamilton, 29, of Madison Heights was charged with Assault and Battery, Robbery, and Brandish/Point a Firearm. Hamilton was transported to the Blue Ridge Regional Jail Authority in Lynchburg and was held on a $7,500 bond.
Jesse David Williams, 32, of Amherst was charged with Assault and Battery, and Robbery. Williams was transported to the Blue Ridge Regional Jail Authority in Lynchburg and is currently being held without bond.
