Vehicle Crash on Langhorne Road
LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) is investigating a vehicle crash that left a man in critical condition Thursday night.
On May 5, 2022 at 11:36 p.m., officers responded to a single-vehicle crash in the 2000-block of Langhorne Road. A 2005 Nissan Titan was traveling at a high rate of speed when it left the roadway, struck several trees, and caught fire.
The driver of the truck, Matthew Dionte Glover (35), of Lynchburg, was extricated from the vehicle by Lynchburg Fire Department personnel and transported to Lynchburg General Hospital for treatment of significant injuries. He is currently in critical condition.
Glover was the only occupant of the vehicle and charges are pending further investigation by the LPD Traffic & Safety Unit.
The roadway was closed for several hours during the incident.
