Woman Injured in Hit and Run
LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) is investigating a hit and run that involved a pedestrian last night.
On July 2, 2022, at 9:48 p.m., officers responded to the 1000-block of Ardmore Drive for a woman who had been struck by a vehicle. Once on scene, officers located a 38-year-old female with serious injuries. She was transported to Lynchburg General Hospital for treatment.
According to witnesses, a white, mid-2000s Nissan Maxima with tinted windows struck the woman and fled the scene toward Old Forest Road. Officers attempted to locate the vehicle but were unsuccessful. The car may have front-end damage from the collision.
