Shooting at the Maple Ridge Apartments
LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Lynchburg Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred at Maple Ridge Apartments on September 1, 2022. On September 1, 2022, at 9:26 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call in reference to shots being fired at 600 Reusens Rd. (Maple Ridge Apartments). Once officers arrived on the scene, multiple witnesses advised someone had been shot and had left the area. Witnesses reported that 3 unknown masked individuals fired the shots and then fled in a dark-colored vehicle. A short time later an officer at the Lynchburg General Hospital ER advised a man had arrived with a gunshot wound to the leg. He is expected to recover.
