Fatal Crash at the Intersection of Leesville Road and Del Ray Circle
LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) is investigating a vehicle crash that resulted in the death of a driver.
On September 24, 2023, at 2:24 p.m., LPD Officers and the Lynchburg Fire Department responded to the intersection of Del Ray Circle and Leesville Road for a three–vehicle crash. When they arrived on scene one driver, an 86-year-old female from Lynchburg had already succumbed to her injuries. One other patient from another vehicle was transported to Lynchburg General Hospital.
LPD’s Traffic Safety Unit responded to assist with the investigation.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
