LPD Announces Hill City Connect Program
LYNCHBURG, Va. — The Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) is proud to announce the implementation of a new camera registration and sharing platform, Hill City Connect powered by FUSUS.
FUSUS is a technology platform purchased through a state-funded grant in 2023. Business owners and residents should visit: https://hillcityconnect.com/ to review the camera registration process and learn more about integrating their public–facing cameras.
Hill City Connect will greatly assist with investigating criminal activity. Once camera owners partner with LPD and voluntarily register their cameras, they will be contacted by a FUSUS team member. The FUSUS team member will provide additional information and answer questions.
This platform is the foundation of a planned Real Time Crime Center in LPD’s new headquarters. It will enhance and streamline investigations through community partnerships and the sharing of invaluable information.
