LPD Violent Crime Response Team seizes around 80 pills of Fentanyl and Firearms
LYNCHBURG, Va. — The Lynchburg Police Department Violent Crime Response Team (VCRT) seized approximately 80 pills of Fentanyl, Two firearms, Ammunition, and 7,883 dollars in cash.
On Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at 3:57 p.m. VCRT officers responded to the 3000-block of Forest Brook Road in reference to several males looking into a business and passing around guns. When they arrived at the scene, officers checked the area and surrounding businesses and detained two out of the three individuals.
The individuals have been identified as Ke’Yonte Harden (21) of Lynchburg and Te’Shaun Howell (19) of Lynchburg.
The following was seized off of Harden:

Approximately 80 pressed Fentanyl Pills

Ammunition
Harden was arrested and charged with the following:

Possession of a Firearm By Felon

Possession of a Firearm in Possession of Schedule I or II Substance

Possession of Concealed Weapon by Felon
-
Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance

False ID to Law Enforcement
Harden is being held in the Blue Ridge Regional Jail without bond.
Howell was found with a concealed weapon and is being charged with concealing a weapon.
