Lynchburg, VA – Yesterday, September 18th, 25-year-old Tykwon Mitchell turned himself in to the Lynchburg Police Department.
Charges stemming from September 13th incident:
§ 18.2-51.2. Aggravated malicious wounding (No Bond)
Previous warrants:
§ 18.2-51.6. Strangulation or suffocation of another (No Bond)
§ 18.2-57.2 Domestic Assault and battery

Malicious Wounding in the 500 Block of Chamber Street
Lynchburg, Va. – Early this morning, at approximately 12:15 a.m., the Lynchburg Police Department responded to Lynchburg General Hospital for a report of a patient suffering from multiple stab wounds.
The victim, a 27-year-old female, was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
An initial investigation determined that 25-year-old Tykwon Mitchell allegedly stabbed the victim while attempting to break up a brawl that occurred in the street outside of a residence in the 500 block of Chambers Street. Following the incident, Mitchell fled the area.
Mitchell, who has been wanted on unrelated charges, is now additionally charged with Malicious Wounding.
This case remains under investigation.
