Fatal Vehicle Accident
Lynchburg, VA – On August 4, 2026, at approximately 5:10 PM, the Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) and Lynchburg Fire Department (LFD) responded to a multiple vehicle accident in the 6100 block of Fort Ave.
Multiple individuals were transported by LFD to the hospital with serious injuries and are currently in stable condition. One driver, an adult female, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
LPD is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
