LPD Investigates Burglary  

Lynchburg, VA – The Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) responded to a report of a burglary on Memorial Avenue.  

At approximately 1:50 a.m. on August 16, 2026, an individual broke into Westover Jewelers, 3100 Memorial Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found a broken window. Officers searched the interior, but no one was located inside. Security video showed the suspect stealing an undisclosed amount of goods. The suspect was dressed in a dark shirt, gray pants, a mask, gloves, and was carrying a purple bag.

 

The Lynchburg Police Department is actively investigating this incident and is requesting assistance from the public in identifying the suspect.
