LPD Investigating Shooting on Ashbourne Drive
LYNCHBURG, Va. – On November 1, 2026, at approximately 11:05 p.m., the Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) and Lynchburg Fire Department (LFD) responded to the 1400 block of Ashbourne Drive for a report of a malicious wounding.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male who had sustained a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the hospital by LFD and is currently in serious condition.
LPD has identified the suspect as Keon Thomas, 31, of Lynchburg. Thomas is currently wanted for aggravated malicious wounding, discharging a firearm in the city, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and reckless handling of a firearm.
Thomas is described as a black male, 6’2, approximately 200 pounds.
Thomas is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to call 911 or their local law enforcement. Do not approach.
