Arrest Made in Bomb Threat at Heritage High School
Lynchburg, VA – At approximately 8:30 AM this morning, the Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) responded to a report of a bomb threat at Heritage High School. Upon arrival, LPD immediately began an investigation into the matter. The investigation revealed that a student had reported a suspicious note found in a restroom. LPD was able to quickly identify the individual responsible for the note. A 15-year-old male was taken into custody and will be charged with making threats to bomb or damage buildings.
LPD would like to thank the staff at Heritage High School for their cooperation in this incident. They also want to recognize the swift actions of the student who found the suspicious note. When you see something, say something. Job well done.
