Child Abuse Investigation Leads to Arrest of Local Daycare Worker
Lynchburg, VA – On March 21, 2025, Lynchburg Child Protective Services received an anonymous report of child abuse alleged to have occurred at Caterpillar Clubhouse, located at 101 Leroy Bowen Drive.
On March 27, following a thorough investigation, the Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) obtained warrants for Shannon Inez Couch, a 50-year-old Lynchburg resident and employee of Caterpillar Clubhouse. Couch cooperated with the LPD and turned herself in. She has been charged with two counts of cruelty and injuries to children.
The LPD extends its gratitude for the assistance received from all parties involved in the investigation process.
