Fatal Traffic Accident on Wards Road

 

 

Lynchburg, VA – The Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) and the Lynchburg Fire Department (LFD) responded to a three-vehicle, rear-end style accident on January 29, 2025, at approximately 12:06 PM in the 2600 block of Wards Road.

 

During the collision, one of the involved vehicles left the roadway and struck a utility pole. Tragically, as a result of injuries sustained in the crash, Ronald Houston Harbin, an 87-year-old Lynchburg resident, passed away on February 9, 2025.

 

The Lynchburg Police Department extends its condolences to Mr. Harbin’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.
