Fatal Vehicle Accident Involving a Pedestrian

 

 

Lynchburg, VA – On September 1, 2024, at approximately 10:16 PM, the Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) and Lynchburg Fire Department responded to a tragic vehicle accident involving a pedestrian in the 1500 block of Campbell Avenue. A 68-year-old male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and was subsequently transported to Lynchburg General Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. LPD is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident. Authorities are seeking any witnesses who may have observed the incident or have information that could assist with the investigation.
