LPD Arrest Burglary Suspect
Lynchburg, VA – The Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) arrested a man in connection with a burglary at Bojangles.
At approximately 2:30 a.m. on April 22, 2026, an individual broke into Bojangles, 3280 Old Forest Road, through a window. The suspect stole an undisclosed amount of money. LPD was notified of the incident when staff arrived later that morning.
Following an investigation, William Smith, 63, of Lynchburg was arrested without incident and charged with burglary, grand larceny, and tampering with a vehicle. Smith is currently being held at the Blue Ridge Regional Jail without bond.
