LPD Arrests Man Following Crash
Lynchburg, VA – Around 8 p.m. on July 13, 2026, the Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) and Lynchburg Fire Department (LFD) responded to a report of an overturned vehicle in the 1300 block of Martin Street.
First responders arrived at the scene, located one adult male and one adult female who were the only occupants of the vehicle involved in the crash. The adult male was found to be suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported by LFD to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. As a result of the investigation, Corey Beaddles, 32, of Campbell County, was arrested and charged with assault and battery, reckless driving, abduction, and attempted malicious wounding.
