LPD Investigates Armed Robbery
Lynchburg, VA – At approximately 11:13 p.m. on April 6, the Lynchburg Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery in the 5200 block of Fort Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with the store clerk. The clerk reported that two male suspects, ages unknown, entered the business around 11:07 p.m. One of the suspects pointed a firearm at the clerk while they both filled black trash bags with store merchandise. The suspects then fled the scene on foot.
No injuries were reported during the incident. The suspects were both dressed in black clothing and were wearing face masks. Photos are attached for reference. The suspects are believed to have fled in the direction of Oxford Street.
