LPD Investigates Bedford Avenue Armed Robbery
Lynchburg, VA – At approximately 11:45 p.m. on June 26, 2026, the Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) responded to a report of an armed robbery in the 2300 block of Bedford Avenue.
Upon arrival, LPD officers made contact with the store clerk. The clerk reported that one male suspect entered the business and pointed a firearm at the clerk. The suspect attempted to obtain an undisclosed amount of money, then fled on foot. No injuries were reported during the incident.
The suspect, at this time, is believed to be connected to additional robberies in the area. The suspect was dressed in black clothing. He was wearing a face covering.
