LPD Investigates Malicious Wounding
Lynchburg, VA – At approximately 4:15 a.m. on July 13, 2026, the Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) and Lynchburg Fire Department (LFD) responded to a report of a malicious wounding in the 2000 block of Langhorne Road.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with a victim who had sustained injuries. LFD provided care and transported the victim to Lynchburg General Hospital. The victim is in stable condition.
This is believed to be an isolated incident. The victim and suspect were known to each other. There is no threat to the community.
This remains an active investigation, and any additional information will be released as an update to this news release.
