LPD Investigates Multiple Armed Robberies
Lynchburg, VA – The Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) responded to three reports of armed robbery.
LPD officers responded to the 2900 block of Memorial Avenue on June 25, 2026, at 11:58 p.m. The following day, June 26, 2026, officers responded to the 1900 block of Old Forest Road at approximately 4:25 p.m. Less than an hour later, a third armed robbery was reported in the 1600 block of Memorial Avenue.
In each instance, LPD officers made contact with the store clerk. The clerks all reported that one male suspect entered the business and used a firearm to obtain an undisclosed amount of money, then fled on foot. No injuries were reported during the incidents.
The suspect was dressed in black clothing. He was wearing a face covering. The suspect is about 5 feet tall. Photos are attached for reference.
The LPD is asking our community for assistance. If you have camera footage or saw something suspicious in the areas of Old Forest Rd and Hill Street, or 1600 and 2900 blocks of Memorial Avenue, please come forward.
