LPD Investigates Shooting Incident on Woodrow Street
Lynchburg, VA – On February 18, 2026, at 10:27 PM, Lynchburg Police officers responded to the 2400 block of Woodrow Street in reference to multiple reports of shots fired.
Within minutes, officers arrived and located an adult male with a non-life-threatening gunshot injury. He was transported to Lynchburg General Hospital for treatment by the Lynchburg Fire Department.
Shortly after arriving on scene, LPD officers, with support from the community, identified and located an adult male suspect, who was taken into custody.
This investigation remains active and ongoing. Updates will be provided as they become available.
