LPD Investigates Threat Against Elected Official
Lynchburg, VA — On October 27, the Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) received a report of a threat made toward an elected official, Delegate Wendell Walker who represents the 52nd District in the Virginia House of Delegates.
Preliminary investigation indicates the threat was communicated via text message and referenced Delegate Walker. LPD immediately began investigating and identified the suspect as 47-year-old Lynchburg resident Ronald Reynolds. On October 28th, Reynolds was taken into custody without incident and charged with Threats of Death or Bodily Injury under Virginia Code § 18.2-60.
