LPD Investigating Home Invasion and Shots Fired on Eldon Street
Lynchburg, VA – At approximately 6:21 PM, January 12, the Lynchburg Police Department responded to a report of shots fired in the 400 block of Eldon Street. Upon arrival and a preliminary assessment of the scene, officers discovered that a home invasion had occurred.
According to initial reports, two suspects entered a residence through an unlocked door and demanded money, which they believed was located within the dwelling. Both suspects were wearing masks and armed with firearms. As they fled the property, the suspects fired several shots into the air.
A purse was stolen during the incident but was later recovered by officers. No injuries have been reported at this time.
