LPD Investigating Shooting in the 1300 block of Main Street
LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) is investigating a shooting that occurred in the 1300 block of Main Street.
On August 15th, 2026, at 12:40 a.m., LPD officers responded to the 1300-Block of Main Street for reports of shots fired. When officers arrived on scene, they located a 19-year-old male victim with gunshot wounds to his lower extremities. The victim was transported by the Lynchburg Fire Department (LFD) to the Lynchburg General Hospital and is currently listed in stable condition.
There is no suspect information available at this time.
