LPD Investigating Shooting on Longview Road
LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Lynchburg Police Department has arrested and charged Adrian Watson, 26, of Lynchburg, in reference to the shooting that occurred earlier today on Longview Road.
Watson has been charged with reckless handling of a firearm, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, shooting into an occupied dwelling, and two counts of malicious wounding.

LPD Investigating Shooting on Longview Road
LYNCHBURG, Va. – On July 31, 2026, at 12:55 p.m., the Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) and Lynchburg Fire Department (LFD) responded to the 1500 block of Longview Road for a report of shots fired.
LPD officers were already in the area and quickly located two adult males who had each sustained gunshot wounds. LPD and LFD rendered aid. The victims were transported to Lynchburg General Hospital by LFD. Both victims are currently in stable condition.
LPD has a person of interest in custody.
