LPD Responds to Large Fight at Greenfield Apartments
LYNCHBURG, VA – At approximately 3:24 p.m. on June 15, 2025, officers with the Lynchburg Police Department responded to a report of a large fight in the 1500 block of Longview Road, located at the Greenfield Apartments. Additional reports indicated a number of individuals may have hand guns.
Upon arrival, officers worked quickly to de-escalate the situation and were able to restore order as residents returned to their apartments. A lawful order was then issued directing individuals to remain in their residences while the incident was investigated.
As a result of the disturbance, 15 individuals were arrested for their involvement in the altercation and/or for failing to comply with lawful commands issued by officers on scene.
The Lynchburg Police Department extends its sincere appreciation to the Town of Bedford Police Department, Bedford County Sheriff’s Office, Campbell County Sheriff’s Office, and Virginia State Police for their support and rapid response.
