Homicide Investigation

The victim in last night’s homicide incident has been identified as 31-year-old Lynchburg resident Kasim Holmes. This remains an active and ongoing investigation. Detectives are continuing to follow up on leads and gather information.

Lynchburg, VA – At approximately 8:58 p.m., the Lynchburg Police Department and Lynchburg Fire Department responded to a malicious wounding call in the 1100 block of Rivermont Avenue.

 

Upon arrival, first responders located an adult victim who was deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. The identity of the victim will be withheld until family is notified.

 

This is an active and ongoing investigation.
