Lynchburg Police Department Responds to Alleged Shots Fired
LYNCHBURG, Va. – At approximately 2:00 p.m. today, the Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) responded to a report of shots fired at Virginia Episcopal School (VES), 400 V.E.S. Road.
Upon arrival, LPD immediately began an investigation, and after working with Virginia Episcopal School leadership, officers quickly determined the threat was not credible. Out of an abundance of caution, officers confirmed the safety and well-being of all students, faculty, and staff.
We take all threats seriously and prioritize the safety of our community above all else. LPD would like to thank the staff and students at VES for their cooperation in this incident.
The Lynchburg Police Department continues to investigate the matter, and there is no ongoing threat.
