Lynchburg Police Department Seizes Firearms, Narcotics During Search Warrants; Suspect in Custody
Lynchburg, VA – On April 24, 2025, the Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) executed two search warrants in connection with an ongoing investigation into the whereabouts of 33-year-old Lynchburg resident, Justin Wilson.
Following the development of actionable intelligence, officers learned that Wilson, who was wanted on a felony probation violation dating back to September 2023, was likely in possession of multiple firearms and fentanyl.
LPD officers first executed a search warrant on storage units linked to Wilson, resulting in the seizure of approximately 17 firearms. Subsequently, LPD served a second search warrant at Wilson’s residence, where he was taken into custody without incident. A search of the residence yielded six additional firearms, as well as suspected fentanyl, heroin, marijuana.
Wilson was served with his outstanding probation violation related to two counts of Possession of a Schedule I/II Controlled Substance with intent to distribute. He was also charged with one new count of Possession of a Schedule I/II Controlled Substance with intent to distribute. Additional charges are pending.
