Lynchburg Police Investigate Attempted Robbery on Memorial Avenue
Lynchburg, VA – At approximately 9:31 PM on March 14, 2025, the Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) responded to a report of an attempted robbery at a retail shop in the 2500 block of Memorial Avenue.
The suspect was dressed entirely in black, wearing a mask, gloves, and grocery bags over their shoes. During the attempt, as the suspect approached the clerk behind the counter, the clerk defended themself and the suspect fled the scene. No injuries reported. Nothing was stolen.
The Lynchburg Police Department is actively investigating this incident and is requesting assistance from the public in identifying the suspect. Photo attached for reference.
