Man Arrested in Burglary at A+ Attire
LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) arrested a man in connection with a burglary at A+ Attire last night.
On February 28, 2024, at 11:07 p.m., LPD officers responded to 1101 Church Street, A+ Attire, after a witness reported observing an individual break into the store through a window. Within minutes, LPD officers arrived on scene and observed a man walking near the store, bleeding from his hands, and carrying a large amount of merchandise. Officers detained the man and identified him as Daniel Lee Saunders, 62, of Lynchburg.
After investigating, Saunders was arrested and transported to the Blue Ridge Regional Jail where he remains without bond on the following charges:
- Burglary with intent to commit larceny
- Grand Larceny
- Property Damage
- Possession of a Schedule 1 or 2 controlled substance
