Motorcycle Accident Results in Serious Injury

 

 

Lynchburg, VA – On September 11, 2025, at approximately 9:30 p.m., the Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) and the Lynchburg Fire Department responded to a report of a motorcycle accident in the 3000 block of Wards Road.

A 57-year-old adult male was traveling in the northbound lane when his motorcycle veered off the roadway and struck a road sign. The individual was transported by the Lynchburg Fire Department to Lynchburg General Hospital and was later transferred to the University of Virginia Medical Center for additional care. He remains in stable condition at this time.

This incident is still under investigation.
