Shooting Incident – 4200-Block of White Street
LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) is investigating a shooting incident that occurred late last night.
On April 9, at 11:00 pm., LPD officers responded to the 4200 block of White Street in reference to an assault call, then reports of shots being fired. Once on scene, officers spoke to a female victim that stated she had been punched in the face, and then shot at by Roy Carlton Davis while sitting in her vehicle. Davis had already left the scene prior to officers arriving. He was last seen driving a maroon Chevrolet Suburban displaying VA Tag B1GROY4.
Roy Carlton Davis is currently wanted on the following charges and is considered armed and dangerous.
• Malicious Wounding
• Attempted Aggravated Malicious Wounding
• Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony
• Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Violent Felon
• Reckless Handling of a Firearm
• Discharge a Firearm within City Limits
This incident appears to be isolated and there is no ongoing threat to the community. The investigation remains active and ongoing and any additional information will be provided as an update to this news release.
