Shooting Investigation – Second Street

 

 

Lynchburg, VA – At approximately 7:23 p.m. this evening, the Lynchburg Police Department received a report of shots fired in the 1800 block of Second Street. Officers in the area responded immediately and began investigating the incident.

 

No victim was initially located at the scene. However, a short time later, a 28-year-old adult male arrived at Lynchburg General Hospital with an injury consistent with a gunshot wound. He is currently listed in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

 

Preliminary investigation suggests that this was an isolated incident. At this time, there is no perceived ongoing threat to the community.
