Vehicle Versus Moped Accident Resulting in Serious Injury

 

 

Lynchburg, VA – On September 26, at 1:14 PM, the Lynchburg Police Department and Lynchburg Fire Department responded to a serious vehicle versus moped accident at the intersection of College Drive and Breckenbridge Street.

 

The driver of the moped, a 74-year-old male, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Lynchburg General Hospital in critical condition. The driver of the other vehicle, identified as 24-year-old Lauren Renee Canody, remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. Canody has been charged with reckless driving.
