Amy McDaniel has been with the Lynchburg Police Department since 2001 and currently serves as Acting Director of Operations for LPD’s Emergency Communications Center (ECC). She began her career as a dispatcher, working evening and midnight shifts, and developed a passion for leadership under the guidance of exceptional mentors.

Amy was promoted to Shift Supervisor in 2008. In 2011, she joined the Personnel and Training Division, overseeing recruitment and personnel operations for the ECC. She became Deputy Director in 2019 and now leads the center as Acting Director.

Known for her welcoming smile and uplifting words, Amy is dedicated to supporting both her team and the community. Her commitment has made a lasting impact on the ECC and the City of Lynchburg.
